Rebecca Matter Named Co-Managing Partner of American Writers & Artists Institute (AWAI)
Experienced marketer to help entrepreneurs learn profitable skills to work from home and enjoy financial independence
Delray Beach, FL – November 5, 2008 – American Writers & Artists Institute (AWAI), www.awai.com, announced today that Rebecca Matter has been promoted to the position of AWAI’s Co-Managing Partner.
Matter first joined AWAI in 2004 as their Director of Online Marketing to market the company’s programs that help entrepreneurs enjoy financial security, independence, and the freedom to live and work from home. Her most recent venture includes the launch of AWAI’s Web Division, which provides programs and tools that train web copywriters and marketers identify new revenue streams for their businesses, find and work with new clients, and make money online.
“Rebecca has used her extensive talent and expertise to help thousands of AWAI members start new, work-from-home careers and learn the skills necessary to enjoy financial independence,” says Katie Yeakle, AWAI Executive Director. “With her new role, Rebecca will have more freedom and authority to develop new AWAI programs and grow the business.”
Matter has a Bachelor Degree in Marketing from Florida State University, an MBA from Florida Atlantic University, and over 12 years of experience in publishing and direct marketing. Using this background Matter has spearheaded successful million-dollar marketing campaigns for countless products, both online and off. She regularly speaks and writes on topics ranging from web marketing to getting and working with clients, and was recently quoted by Forbes.com as a marketing expert.
“I feel so fortunate to have this new opportunity as I’m inspired every day by the AWAI members who are reinventing their lives,” says Matter. It’s exhilarating to know that even in today’s economic climate, we provide a solution for people who want to escape the 9 to 5 cubicle lifestyle, and become in-demand professionals who can work from home, run their own business – and their own life – on their own terms.”
When she is not working, Matter enjoys yoga, running, dancing, cooking, and spending time with her husband and three dogs at their home in Austin, Texas. And she fully supports her favorite football teams, the Miami Dolphins and the Florida State Seminoles, in good times and bad.
