Take Action During the First Week of the New Year
Happy New Year!
Can you believe it’s already 2011? It always amazes me how fast time flies.
You know how it goes …
First you have an entire year ahead of you. Then, the next thing you know it’s April! Then summer is over … and it’s “how the heck did it get to be October?!”
That’s the reason why every year I spend the first week of the New Year taking at least one big action towards achieving my goals for the year.
I find it helps jump-start the year, and then time doesn’t slip away from me as easily.
This week, I’m planning to bite the bullet and contract a developer to build the website I want to launch this year. It’s scary actually making the commitment, but I know it’s the action I need to take if I want to achieve my goal this year.
What about your goals? What’s one action you can take this week that will move you towards achieving them?
If you’re just starting out and looking for a way to begin, maybe spend this week putting up your freelance website and researching a list of 50 potential clients you’ll contact next week.
If you’ve been doing this a while, and you’re looking to increase the revenue from your current clients, spend this week developing proposals for your best clients that will take the relationship to a much larger level this year.
