Top Ten Reasons To Be At ‘Bootcamp 2011’

Bootcamp is just around the corner. And if you’re serious about jumpstarting your success in the direct response industry, this is one event you shouldn’t miss. Why?

Here are 10 reasons I've come up with to be at AWAI’s FastTrack to Success Copywriting Bootcamp and Job Fair this coming October. Give them a read and then feel free to add your own by posting a comment below!

10 – Learn “up-to-the-minute” success techniques in copywriting and on-line marketing. Never before in the history of our business has the “landscape” of direct response marketing undergone such a profound change, what with innovative and integrated on-line marketing, e-mail, social media, mobile and more. With experts from all corners of the industry, Bootcamp is the perfect place to “catch up” on what’s working in the marketplace now, so you can adapt your writing accordingly.

9 – Make lifelong connections and meet perspective clients. It’s one thing about the direct response industry you can count on: Marketers are forever looking for the next copywriting superstar to help transform their business – and more and more they come to Bootcamp to find them. At this year’s Job Fair we have more marketing pros than ever anxious to give any eager up-and-comer a chance, from major companies like Glazer-Kennedy, Nightingale Conant, Stansberry & Associates, Early to Rise, International Living, Dr. Al Sears, and many more.

8 – Supercharge your writing skills! This is your one opportunity every year to roll up your sleeves and work shoulder to shoulder with copywriters and experts who have developed some of the most innovative and successful marketing techniques on the planet. There’s nothing like hearing how to craft a lead from Jen Stevens or John Forde. Or listening to Will Newman talk about using benefits in your copy. It’s the ultimate learning – and motivational – experience!

7 – Promotion, Promotion, Promotion! This year we’re putting huge emphasis on techniques for promoting your copywriting and direct response skills. Besides Job Fair – where you can meet with the clients you want to work with, and even take home a handful of spec assignments – you’ll discover master techniques for getting, keeping and managing new clients. You’ll learn where to find clients, how to land them and hear how top writers get clients and negotiate fees and royalties – all of the little secrets that can make a big difference in pushing your income into six-figure territory.

6 – It’s the ultimate networking event! The only place where you can sit down and talk to Michael Masterson about the “Power of One” … find out how Bob Bly handles so many clients … learn Joe Sugarman’s seven principles he discovered as he created multiple multi-million dollar businesses … or learn how to break into six-figure financial writing over a beer with Paul Hollingshead. (In fact, if you sign up today – you can schedule an actual “meeting” with any expert you like!) With so many experts and marketers around the entire event, you’d better make a list of who you want to meet up with!

5 – A beautiful get-away spot. The beach is wonderful, but what you’ll really like is our city. The hotel’s right on the ocean, just a few blocks from downtown Delray Beach where you’ll find sidewalk cafes, antique shops, restaurants, art galleries, live music, and lots of shopping, too. With temperatures in the mid 70s, October is one of the best times to be out and about. But here’s the thing: with so much going on, you biggest challenge will be finding the time to explore. That’s why we recommend you stay an extra day. After 12-16 hours days at Bootcamp, you’ll be ready to relax!

4 – A chance to have your copy read by peers and experts alike. You’ll have an opportunity to participate in a live writing workshop – and sharpen your own writing process in the most efficient way possible, by working with other copywriters. Plus, you’ll get real feedback from working professionals and your peers!

3 – A proven career launcher! It’s no coincidence that some of AWAI’s most successful copywriters and freelancers are past (and on-going) Bootcamp attendees. And it’s not just because of the high-level learning, skill building, networking or Job Fair, where you can actually walk away with assignments that can pay you real money. There’s just something about being here. Being immersed in our business for three action-packed days, talking to the experts, and meeting fellow AWAIers who have changed their lives that makes you understand this business is real, the demand for copywriters is huge and that, yes, you can do it!

2 – Your complimentary copy of the 2011 Bootcamp Homestudy Program. There’s so much going on at Bootcamp at any given time … presentations and workshops … fast track seminars that overlap with featured presentations that there’s no way you can see everything that goes on. That’s why every Bootcamp attendee receives a free copy of the complete Homestudy Program (a $499 value) – so you can “re-live” the Bootcamp experience at your leisure, in the comfort of your own home … plus experience any of the presentations you may have missed.

And the number one reason to sign up for 2011 Bootcamp today …

  3. I'm excited to build my network and make some new contacts. I'm *finally* creating my website, and looking to get new clients to supplement the group I've been working with for the last three years. It's time for change, progress, and hopefully a bit of fun!
