Last Chance To Hear, See, And
Meet Michael Masterson …
One of the biggest “stories” of 2011 – at least in the copywriting world – has to be Michael Masterson’s retirement.
In case you didn’t hear, Michael has retired to focus on his other interests, mainly his fiction writing, business consulting, and philanthropic activities.
He’s already passed on the mantle of Early to Rise, his wildly popular marketing e-zine … and will no longer work with AWAI at the level he has in past years. Also, no more Michael Masterson articles or consulting sessions in the offing.
Frankly, I’m still digesting it all. As you may know, Michael has been a big part of AWAI since the beginning.
He was instrumental in getting the company started … and worked hard with Don, Paul, Rebecca and me to make sure all the material we offered to up-and-coming writers was of the highest quality – and contained the high-level secrets that could make anyone interested in writing better than 99% of the copywriters working today.
Thanks to Michael and all the knowledge he’s shared over the years, thousands have succeeded. And because of his contributions, AWAI is today the pre-eminent organization for up-and-coming copywriters, with a network of hundreds of top industry professionals whose knowledge and guidance can take an aspiring copywriter to the very top of his or her field.
Of course, the irony is that most of the best folks in the business learned much of what they know from Michael Masterson – given he’s dedicated most of the last two decades to teaching others.
Michael Is One of Our Business’s Legends
So we’re not the only ones who will miss him …
But you do have one last chance to see Michael in action … to meet him, to chat, and to gain insights from his lifetime of writing.
That almost wasn’t the case.
You see, a few months before Michael quietly announced his retirement earlier this year, we had already “advertised” that Michael would be back at our annual Bootcamp – speaking, meeting, mingling, and enjoying the odd cocktail with AWAI members as he always has for the past 14 years.
So when he told me he was retiring and that he would be traveling come October and November, panic overcame me.
“What about all the folks who have signed up already, expecting to see Michael?” I wondered to myself,
Long story short, I convinced Michael to juggle his travel schedule and come to Bootcamp one last time.
And that’s good news for everyone.
I can’t tell you how many AWAIers in particular have been successful because they came to Bootcamp to see Michael … soaked up some of the wisdom from his 30 years of direct response experience … and wound up getting some kind of “life-changing” piece of advice from him. (Many even struck up friendships and professional relationships with him over the years that continue to this day!)
That’s why if you’re going to come to any Bootcamp … be sure to make it this one.
Whether You’re a Regular or a Newbie –
This is One Bootcamp You Can’t Miss!
If you’ve never been before – this may be your one and only opportunity to meet Michael and get some of the most powerful perspectives on how to succeed as a copywriter you’ll find anywhere.
If you’re a Bootcamp regular, this is your last opportunity to pin him down and ask anything you’ve forgotten to ask him in the past.
Because Michael did assure me in no uncertain terms: he won’t be back after this year.
Now, given the “late date,” you’ll need to act quickly. As we typically are by this time of the year, we’re nearly sold out.
But there are a few seats left.
This year’s Bootcamp is beachside at the Delray Marriott on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, Florida, October 26th through the 29th.
If you want to come, I suggest you let us know today.
You only have to put down a small amount to secure your spot. The rest of the financial details can be worked out.
If you need more information on what the Bootcamp experience is all about, click here.
If you want to reserve your spot online now, go directly to the reservation form here.
Or, if you’d like to sign up and make any payment arrangements by phone, call and speak to Barb, Debbie, Pat, or Cameron at 866-879-2924 during regular business hours.
This really is going to be a great event – made even more special by Michael’s final appearance. And knowing Michael like I do – I’m sure he has something extra special for you in store.
All of us hope to see you there!
