I Paid These Guys a Ton of Money

Three minutes with Bob Bly was all it took to make back my full investment in the 2003 AWAI Bootcamp.

I was just getting started in copywriting and had some burning questions about B2B direct mail. I approached Bob after his session, hoping he could shed some light on the issue.

The insights he gave me were priceless!

The following year, I paid Dianna Huff several hundred bucks to pick her brain. Over the course of several 1-hour phone sessions, she answered my biggest questions about pricing B2B projects … what to say to new prospects … and how to tackle some of the assignments I was starting to land.

Boy, were these calls helpful! Dianna kept me from making some very costly mistakes. And she gave me a huge confidence boost!

In 2006, I hired Steve Slaunwhite on retainer. My copywriting business was growing quickly. And I needed a seasoned pro who could help me figure out how to best approach projects I had never worked on before.

Looking back, I would have paid Steve three times what he charged me for those insights.

Here's my point: Over the last 9 years, I've spent tens of thousands of dollars in direct costs (and in my own time) trying to figure out how write powerful case studies, white papers, web copy and lead generation materials for B2B clients.

I made those investments because at the time there were no courses available where you could learn this stuff. When it came to B2B copywriting projects, there were no books … no teleconferences … no live workshops.

You had to figure it out on your own. You had to improvise. (In my case, I just went straight to the pros, hoping they'd agree to coach me!)

Which is why when Rebecca first approached me about the idea of doing a hands-on, 3-day B2B intensive workshop, I had mixed emotions.

Sure, I loved the concept. I knew that it would be a transformative event for the lucky few who attended.

But I also felt a bit cheated.

This program would have been a dream come true for me when I was getting started. It would have drastically cut my learning curve.

And it would have saved me tens of thousands in coaching, lost time and missed opportunities.

So, I don't mind telling you that I'm a bit jealous for those who will be joining us at that event.

Look, I obviously don't know where you are in your B2B copywriting business. But if you're tired of getting incremental results and are ready for quantum leap in your progress …

Then I urge you to consider this rare opportunity to work with 5 of the world's top B2B copywriters.

This is the first time I've seen 5 master B2B copywriters willing to do this kind of hands-on training.

That's right — I said "hands-on training." Because we're not just presenting. We're actually going to work with you for 3 days to help you write, manage and land the most fun, in-demand and lucrative assignments in B2B.

You'll get all of our insider tips and tricks. All of our shortcuts. All of our pricing strategies.

You can get our direct feedback on your work. And you can meet with us privately, one-on-one, to discuss your biggest challenges or goals.

Plus, AWAI will pay you $1,000 as soon as you land your first paid B2B assignment using the proven strategies you’ll learn during these 3 days. (I mean … who does that??!!)

This exclusive opportunity is limited to just 50 people. And we may never do it again. So reserve your spot today.

I don't mind being a little jealous of you!

  1. Meeting the pros is a key point.

The pros are where they are today because they attended the school of hard knocks.

Back in the day, there was nobody nor any program to teach the pros.

Bob Bly, Michael Masterson, Steve Saunwhite and others learned all about it through trial and error.

So, it is great that such programs and attending bootcamp can help to shape your career.

You do not have to make the mistakes the pros made when they were just starting out.

Take your game to the next level.

  2. Thanks, Ed. This was illuminating about the work you did to get expert advice when you were building your business. It makes me realize I am making a great investment in coming to the B2B Intensive.

  3. thanks.
It is hilarious that in this camp one will get the opportunity to meet the B2B pros. But it is very much difficult for people like me who are foreigners. I am in India and really jealous of the writers who will be attending the feat. It is natural Ed. and should be. O.K. Next time.
