The AWAI Wall of Fame’s Newest Member Hits Six-Figures and Isn’t Looking Back

Hot on the wheels of his first six-figure year as a freelance B2B copywriter, Brian Whitaker has just been named to AWAI’s Wall of Fame.

Brian, 40, is a former marketing manager for a large technology company who joined AWAI in 2011, originally to learn copywriting skills he might use in his job. As he learned of the advantages of the writer’s life, he struck out on his own for the flexible schedule and the extra time it gave him to spend with his young family.

He started off his writing career with a small email marketing campaign for his former employer. His latest projects: building complete marketing sales collateral tooklkits for four separate product launches.

Brian breached the $100k mark in 2012. Next year, he plans to double that.
