The Ultimate Gift You Could Give
Over the past few days, we’ve been talking about a variety of deeper benefits the writer’s life has to offer.
For some writers, like John Torre and me, it’s the flexibility to be there for friends and family at the drop of a hat, whether it’s an emergency or not.
For others, like Will Newman, it means having both finances and time to give back to the community, whether he’s making tacos or tutoring elementary kids in math.
And for Bob Bois, it means the freedom to sail around the world with his family in a boat they all built together.
There is no wrong version of the writer’s life. If all that freedom meant you could sit in your garden, meditating and tending koi fish that would be perfectly fine.
But there is just ONE rule …
You have to give yourself the gift of the writer’s life first!
According to 10K Challenge Winner Guillermo Rubio, it’s the best gift in the world — and I would agree 100%.
Go ahead and read G’s article, “The Best Gift You Can Give Yourself This Holiday Season.” You’ll also find five steps to help you define your own vision of the writer’s life and how to keep the ball moving forward toward achieving it.
Take some time to work through those steps … then come back and tell me your vision and your deeper purpose.
I hope this week you’ve gotten a taste for what your own writer’s life can feel like. And that you’re one step closer to really living it!
By the way — the theme of Bootcamp 2013 was Your Life is NOW! And 300 people walked away more inspired and dedicated than ever to living the writer’s life — including me!
If you haven’t been to Bootcamp, it is truly a life-changing event I strongly recommend you experience. And right now, you can actually get FREE tickets to Bootcamp for the rest of your career … learn more about this limited-time opportunity here.
There’s never been a better time to give yourself the ultimate gift — the permission to live your life as YOU see fit — than now.
Just keep taking baby step after baby step, and you’ll get there soon!
