The Nuts-N-Bolts of E-Book Marketing

Mindy McHorse again, back to tell you more about launching a passive six-figure income through e-books.

Let’s say you’ve picked your e-book topic. (This is what we covered Monday.)

You’ve researched it and know there’s a terrific buyer’s market just waiting for you to put it out there. (We talked about this on Tuesday.)

And maybe you’ve even started writing it. Better yet, you’ve discovered pre-written content you can legally repurpose into an e-book. (This was yesterday’s discussion.)

What next?

Now comes the marketing side, which is a snap if you follow all the tips AWAI constantly publishes.

For starters, you’ll want to publish a newsletter. Think of it as regular email broadcasts that touch on the subject of your e-book and offer useful information and tips.

You can post the newsletter on your website, but you’ll also want to send it out over email.

Which brings up the question … to whom do you send it? You send it to your list, which is step two in the marketing side of profiting from e-books. That means you need to set up a website with a landing page and opt-in box (in which the visitor provides his or her name and email address), and you’ll want to drive likely readers to your site.

There are loads of ways to do this, from search engine optimization to word-of-mouth to social media campaigns.

Once you’ve laid your website foundation, your email list will build. From there, you’ll be able to send out regular e-newsletters and updates.

And within those e-newsletters, you can promote your new e-book. This is where you’ll ask your readers to click on a link you provide that takes them to a landing page where they can buy it. (Read this article by Steve Slaunwhite to learn more about landing pages.)

The first time around, it may take you a little while to get going and get all the content needed for an initial e-book, a website, a landing page, and multiple e-newsletters.

But once you’ve got all that set up … you can simply write more e-books and piggy-back on the existing email list and sites you already have established.

Meaning you sell more, and with less effort.
