Clayton Makepeace’s $12,500 Challenge

On Tuesday, Joshua Boswell held a rather unusual call with me and Rebecca Matter to get the inside scoop on what we’ve cooked up for the 2014 Bootcamp.

If you missed the call you can access it here.

But there's something that we didn't mention on Tuesday’s call …

Fact is, I just got the official word today that it's going to happen …

Clayton Makepeace is offering a special Spec Challenge for Bootcamp attendees — with a payday of $12,500 PLUS royalties.

And, he's not just limiting this to one winner!

Clayton did this last year and was so pleased with the results … he wants to do it again. Here's what he just told me:

"I'm so impressed with the quality of copy I'm seeing from AWAI-trained writers, it's now my first and best source of new talent. My #1 client is looking for freelancers as well as staff copywriters to work with me — and this Bootcamp Spec Challenge is the best way I know to find them!”

Chris Allsop and Brian Ochsner both won last year … both earned $12,500 paychecks (plus royalties) … and both worked directly with the big guy himself on their sales letters.

Chris told me …

"Winning the Clayton Makepeace Bootcamp Challenge has been the highlight of my copywriting career. In addition to being one of the world's best copywriters, Clayton is an incredibly nice guy. Working with him has not only improved my copywriting skills but also taught me about the process used by financial publishing companies to create copy. I have the confidence now to approach any financial publishing firm, and I intend to leverage this experience to the max!"

And Brian said …

"It was a treat to work with Clayton and the folks at Weiss Research. This opportunity has given me the confidence that I can play in the 'big leagues' of copywriting."

There's more …

During the call Marcella Allison talked about the webinar she's putting together with the Boardroom Inc. marketing honchos to give you a "power boost” on their Job Fair Spec. It's going to be amazing … and will improve your writing and understanding of what marketers want even if you decide not to write their spec.

Well … Clayton's going to do a webinar too. He's going to walk you through exactly what he's looking for when he picks this year's Spec Challenge winner(s!) … he's going to give you insights on what's working for his #1 client today … do's and don'ts. In other words — the keys to the castle!

And, not many people know this, but he gave every single person who sent a spec to him last year a critique of what they submitted. And, he shared their names with other marketers he knows who are always looking for copywriters. Wow.

Clayton and Marcella are just two of the over 40 marketers who will be coming to Job Fair to meet you … to give you life-changing, career-making opportunities.

All of the marketers coming to Job Fair are here for one reason and one reason only … and that's to find copywriters. Folks like you who can help them grow their businesses.

Most have hired AWAI-trained copywriters before … and they want to hire AWAI-trained copywriters again.

And, we're going to work with all of them to give you as much "prep” before you get to Job Fair as possible … like these webinars … so you walk in to that Ballroom with insight, ideas, and confidence!

The first of the Your Inside Track to Job Fair Success Webinar Series with Marcella and the Boardroom marketers is May 20.

So make sure you let us know you're coming to Bootcamp by tomorrow, Friday, May 16th!
