Meet Me at Bootcamp

My wife Linda calls me her cave bear.

If given my choice, I don’t leave my “cave.” Even though I love visiting with my son and his wife and Linda’s family, I just don’t like traveling.

The only time I look forward to leaving my cave is my yearly trip to AWAI’s FastTrack to Copywriting Success Bootcamp and Job Fair.

Oh, don’t get me wrong. The five-hour plus trip to the San Francisco Bay Area and then the flight to Florida are enough to bring out the bear in me. But, I accept it … because, once I’m in Delray Beach, I’ll be meeting again with friends, both old and new.

I’m writing today to invite you to join me this October 15 to 18, when I make my yearly trek to Bootcamp.

And, please understand …

I don’t mean I hope you’ll come to Bootcamp and maybe we’ll pass in the lobby or that sort of thing.

I’m sincere when I say I want to meet you.

My joy is getting to know you …

If you’ve ever been to Bootcamp, you know I’m serious about this. As much as I enjoy learning new copywriting strategies (even after almost 20 years in the business) … as much as I enjoy presenting … my true joy at Bootcamp is getting to know new friends and renewing old friendships.

Maybe you have a question about a particular copywriting strategy you need answered. Stop me in the lobby, and we’ll set a time to meet and talk about it.

Do you need a little bit of encouragement? All of us do at some time or the other. I feel one of my chief roles in AWAI and as Master Instructor for Circle of Success is to be a cheerleader.

I love encouraging copywriters like you to keep moving forward. But, I’m not the only one encouraging you at Bootcamp. Bootcamp’s greatest benefit is the way all participants — AWAI members, presenters, AWAI staff — go away feeling renewed, rededicated to success, and excited about the year ahead.

Your opportunity to meet the greats in the industry …

I hope I’m not making Bootcamp sound like just a giant pep rally. It’s far more than that.

At Bootcamp you’ll learn strategies and techniques — both new and timeless — for writing powerful copy … copy that gets you hired and rehired … and that propels you into the career you dream of.

Bootcamp is where you’ll learn these strategies from the very best in the industry … Master Copywriters like John Carlton, Clayton Makepeace, Dan Kennedy, Richard Armstrong, Donna Baier Stein, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Carline Anglade-Cole, and Bob Bly.

The crucial link to your successful career …

Writing great copy won’t get you anywhere … unless you have good clients.

At Bootcamp you’ll learn how top copywriters get clients, negotiate fees and royalties, and have those clients coming back to them as their “go-to copywriter” time and time again.

These secrets can make a huge difference in your career, pushing your income into six-figure territory.

And, there’s no place better to get a jumpstart on getting clients than Job Fair. I know you know the name Joshua Boswell. After his first AWAI Bootcamp and Job Fair, he landed four brand-new clients and five new assignments.

Was he just lucky? Especially skilled at getting new clients? Ask him. He’ll tell you quite the opposite. Joshua was on the verge of giving up his dream when he attended his first Job Fair. It made all the difference in his life … and the lives of his family.

You could give the same boost to your career that Joshua did for his. Particularly when major marketers like Boardroom Inc. … Newsmax Media … MoneyWeek … International Living … Stansberry & Associates … Weiss Research … The Institute for Natural Healing … Sovereign Society … and more are eager to hand you a spec assignment.

A truly unique opportunity to earn a paycheck …

Imagine getting a spec assignment from one of these companies … companies that regularly turn away experienced copywriters every single day. And yet, you get the unique opportunity to write for them — an opportunity that could easily lead to a nice paycheck!

As Bootcamp approaches, I’ll be telling you here in The Golden Thread how best to win those specs … including the one, most important secret of all.

But, before I get down to talking about spec assignment success, I’ll be giving you more details about Bootcamp. About the presenters you’ll see there. About how to get the most out of your experience. I’ll even be passing on Job Fair success strategies.

That’s all down the line. But right now, I urge you to find out more about AWAI’s FastTrack to Copywriting Success Bootcamp and Job Fair. It’ll only take a few minutes … minutes that could be the most important ones in your career.
