The Easiest Resolution to Keep
(And Save Money)

As I’m writing you this note, the rain and wind are thrashing my windows. Snow is dumping all over the United States and Canada. And England is bracing for freezing temperatures and howling winds.

Winter is here in the Northern Hemisphere.

This is the perfect time for me to remember the warm, pleasant days I’ve enjoyed in Delray Beach, Florida, the past nine autumns. And to anticipate my next visit there in October 2015.

How do I know I’ll be in Delray then?

Because that’s when AWAI is holding its 18th annual FastTrack to Copywriting Success Bootcamp and Job Fair. And I promised Katie and Denise I’d be there again.

Why have I returned so many times?

My wife and lifelong companion Linda will gladly tell you a secret about me. She calls me her “cave bear.” My cave pretty much is a radius of about 25 miles encircling where I live.

I don’t like leaving my cave. Except for very special occasions like visiting family … and Bootcamp.

Why’s Bootcamp special for me? Let me give you four crucial reasons …

Reason # 1: Professional Self-Preservation …

Even though I’ve been a copywriter for over 15 years, I know I’ll always learn new ideas, strategies, and secrets at Bootcamp.

Direct marketing and copywriting constantly change and evolve. If I don’t change with them, I stagnate. Become stale. Lose my edge. Bootcamp keeps me up-to-date and on the crest. Bootcamp protects my livelihood.

If you’re a beginning copywriter, Bootcamp is the perfect place to immerse yourself in these state-of-the-art copywriting secrets and strategies.

If you’re an old hand like me—or somewhere in between—it’s without a doubt the best way to refresh your knowledge and continue building your success.

Reason #2: Doing What I Love Best …

Now don’t get me wrong. I love writing. It’s my second favorite thing to do. But I feel I was born a teacher … teaching is my passion.

Thanks to Katie and Denise, Bootcamp lets me engage that passion. I love presenting at Bootcamp. Nothing excites me as much as standing in front of eager learners like AWAI members and teaching.

I went back and read what I just wrote. It might sound a bit hokey. But if you know me, you know it’s the truth. I get excited talking about Bootcamp, because I know I’ll have an opportunity to teach you in person. (And I’m eagerly looking forward to it.)

Reason #3: Revitalizing Myself …

Here’s a little secret about being a writer of any sort. Copywriting carries tremendous personal rewards like satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment.

But copywriting is a solitary venture. You’re working inside your own mind much of the time. That can take its toll. I’ve found over the years, Bootcamp revitalizes me. It rekindles the enthusiasm for writing that carries me through every day.

If you’re just starting out copywriting, Bootcamp will ignite that enthusiasm … and give you the sense that you really can do this. That you’re going to succeed. That you were born for this adventure.

Reason #4 (the most important one): YOU!

I saved the biggest reason for last. I love coming back to Bootcamp, because I get to meet with you face to face. I love visiting with you every week in The Golden Thread. I love “chatting” with you in the comment section and in email.

None of that, though, can hold a candle to standing in the hallway or sitting on a chair and chatting with you about our shared passion. Copywriting.

If we’ve never met in person, this is the perfect opportunity for us to do so. I’d love to chat with you and answer your questions … or to be a cheerleader if you need it.

If we’ve met at previous Bootcamps, this October is the chance for us to renew our friendship … and to renew the commitment and vigor to succeed.

Isn’t it a bit early to think about Bootcamp?

Bootcamp is 10 months away. Almost a year. Isn’t it a little early to even think about Bootcamp?

Not at all. And here’s why. Right now, Katie is offering the “Super Early-Bird Bootcamp Special.”

If you sign up right now, you’re assured of getting into this premier copywriting event that sells out every year. And, over the past five or so years, it sells out early.

Plus, if you sign up now, you qualify for an exceptional $500 discount.

What’s more, by signing up early, you can pay in easy installments … and start putting aside money for travel and accommodations.

It’s so easy this way that I don’t know why everybody doesn’t take advantage of the “Super Early-Bird Bootcamp Special.”

The perfect New Year’s Resolution …

New Year’s Day is just a couple of days away. And with it, the pressure to make New Year’s resolutions. You and I both know that most New Year’s resolutions fall by the wayside in about a month.

So, here are two resolutions you can make and keep in moments …

First, resolve to click here to learn more about the 2015 AWAI FastTrack to Copywriting Success Bootcamp and Job Fair. And second, resolve to take the crucial, first, easy step to joining me this year in beautiful, sunny Delray Beach, Florida.

But please don’t put it off. The “Super Early-Bird Bootcamp Special” expires tomorrow at midnight. I’d hate to have you miss out because you “meant to do it” but it slipped your mind.
