Breaking News!
Announcing the 2015 Bootcamp Keynote Speaker …

Bob Bly

AWAI’s Bootcamp Keynote Speakers are traditionally some of the absolute top leading lights of the industry. Past years have seen Agora Founder Bill Bonner, award-winning copy genius Richard Armstrong, and former Boardroom CEO Brian Kurtz take the stage, among others. And it’s in that rich tradition of excellence that we’re thrilled to announce that Bob Bly will deliver the keynote address during the 2015 FastTrack to Copywriting Success Bootcamp and Job Fair this October.

Bob was AWAI’s Copywriter of the Year in 2007, and has also been honored with a Gold Echo award from the Direct Marketing Association, an IMMY from the Information Industry Association, and a Standard of Excellence Award from the Web Marketing Association, among many other accolades.

He’s spent more than three decades as an in-demand freelance copywriter working with clients such as Intuit, Network Solutions, and Brooklyn Union Gas. A prolific author, Bob has published more than 80 books, including The Copywriter’s Handbook and The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Direct Marketing. His articles – on marketing, copywriting, and life – have appeared in Cosmopolitan, Writer’s Digest, DM News, and many other publications. He’s even been honored by the New York Book Festival for his short fiction!

In short, Bob’s a writer who knows how to create success. But he doesn’t keep his secrets to himself – he’s been a noted teacher in our field for decades and has even contributed to multiple AWAI programs.

This year, he’ll be sharing more of his wisdom in a fresh message dedicated to helping each Bootcamp attendee create more success in their writing life. We can’t wait to hear it … and we hope you’ll be there in person to soak up Bob’s wisdom, too.

The 2015 FastTrack to Copywriting Success Bootcamp and Job Fair will take place October 14-17 in Delray Beach, Florida.

  1. Wow! I have seen Bob Bly's name mentioned over and over again on the site and, with this being my first time attending Bootcamp, I am thrilled to be able to meet him, hear from him as keynote speaker, and absorb tons of information from this icon. Thanks AWAI, for giving me and other copywriters this opportunity!

  2. Fantastic news!!! I'm stoked to see Mr. Bly in action and soak up some of his wisdom. It's one more reason to be excited about Bootcamp '15.

  3. GREAT news - I love Bob's teaching! His "Secrets of a Freelance Writer" and "The Copywriter's Handbook" are my absolute favorite copywriting BUSINESS books. My copies look like bookshelf hedgehogs with all the sticky tabs I've applied to their pages.

  4. I am a HUGE fan of Bob Bly! I own his "Secrets of a Freelance Copywriter" and also "The Copywriter's Handbook," both of which are worth their weight in gold. I have also purchased several of his E-Books that are priced way below what I feel they are worth. I've even talked with him on the phone once and I find him to be very personable, a man of utmost integrity. Looking forward to meeting him in person at Bootcamp 2015!

  5. Every day I am becoming more excited about going to Bootcamp. I have just finished the 2nd part of the The Accelerated Copywriting Program and it seems to get easier with each section. I know there is so much more to learn but I am chomping at the bit. I can't wait to start writing spec assignments. What seemed frightening last month is now becoming more and more realistic. Thank you to all the staff of AWAI. You are making dreams come true!
