Two-Minute Bootcamp Video Showcases the Real Experience Writers Have in Delray … [video]

One of the biggest questions we hear at AWAI about Bootcamp is, “What’s it really like?”

It’s not a surprising question. Bootcamp – like copywriting itself – is an experience that opens doors most people never suspect even exist. So it can be hard to compare Bootcamp to other conferences or work retreats, just as it can be hard to compare copywriting to other jobs.

The best way to understand it – and to understand what Bootcamp can do for you – is to hear from people who’ve been there.

That’s why we’ve created a special two-minute video, which you’ll find below. It features 10 Bootcamp alumni sharing their writer’s life and Bootcamp experiences. All of these writers started out just like you … wondering if a copywriter’s life was actually possible, and wondering if Bootcamp would really help make it happen.

  1. Hi all,

thanks to AWAI for giving me the opportunity to live a writers life. I am strongly on the move and hope to be successful. i am already a writer, a published writer, but could never make living out of it. Now with the guidance and training of AWAI i hope to do so. thanks AWAI.

  2. I signed up for this year's Bootcamp before I even saw this video! It's something I felt I needed to do to really commit myself to becoming a fully fledged copywriter, and believe me, it was no easy thing for me to do. Not just from the financial aspect, but because I am no social butterfly by any means - it'll be really tough for me to open up and socialize with others on the course!

I feel it's now or never for me, and I'd rather forget the 'never' part, so thank you AWAI for giving me the opportunity to take action, because without action there can be no movement towards my eventual success!

  3. doesn't a writer begin by outlining (loosely) the gist of the article or letter or book, and then going forward to fill in the blanks for each portion of that outline? Would this eleviate the creative part or procrastination for going forward with the task?
