Just Announced: Seven $1,000 Spec Challenges for 2015 Bootcamp Attendees

Last week, we announced our seven Spec Challenges for the 2015 FastTrack to Copywriting Success Bootcamp and Job Fair.

Each year, by sponsoring multiple spec challenges, we offer registered Bootcamp attendees the opportunity to earn back their registration fee and walk away from the event with a check in their pocket.

“We’re always looking for additional copywriting talent to add to our team, and the spec challenges provide an excellent way for new talent to catch our eye by presenting us with a strong, compelling idea,” says AWAI Executive Director Katie Yeakle. “Often, from this first point of contact, new writers go on to establish lasting relationships with us.”

For 2015, FastTrack to Copywriting Success Bootcamp and Job Fair registrants can choose from seven different products for their spec submission, with no limit on competing in multiple categories.

All entries need to be submitted by Thursday, October 1, and take the form of a headline and short lead. Winners will be announced on stage at the 2015 Bootcamp and they’ll receive their $1,000 check on the spot. From there, winners will work with the AWAI in-house team to further develop their copy. If, after a full peer review, the spec moves forward to the testing stage, additional copywriting fees (including royalties) may be paid.

You must be a 2015 Bootcamp registrant to be eligible to participate in the spec challenges.

A full list of all seven spec challenges and the submission details for each are available on the Bootcamp 2015 member page.
