WANTED: Curious people and creative thinkers with the ability to write persuasively

AWAI IS BUILDING AN INHOUSE COPY TEAM

No doubt you’ve heard the expression curiosity killed the cat. Well, being curious might just land you one of the most sought after jobs available: Copywriter for AWAI.

American Writers & Artists, Inc. (AWAI) is looking for several copywriters to work with us in our Delray Beach headquarters. Read on to see if this is what you’ve been looking for …

While this is a salaried, “in-house” position with benefits, you won’t be chained to an office and you’ll be able to “write your own paycheck.”

How do you know if you’re a good fit for our group?

  1. You should be curious about every subject under the sun.
  2. You should read more than anyone you know.
  3. You should have a good sense of humor.
  4. You should hate losing--and be fanatical about creating great work.
  5. You should love thoroughly researching a subject.
  6. You should care deeply about helping people change their lives by developing skills that lead to financial security, independence and freedom.

If you have these traits and want the chance to showcase your writing skills, with the #1 organization the direct-industry turns to for copywriting training, then you should seriously consider making a two-year commitment to live and practice copywriting with us in beautiful Delray Beach, FL.

While the work will be long and hard, you’ll also find it fun, and not to mention potentially profitable. We’re asking for a two-year commitment because the part of your journey will be learning all of our products, our marketing methods, and testing out your ideas. After that, you’ll have the foundation built to master this position. And, then after two years … you’ll have some very exciting options available to you as to where your writer’s life takes you including the chance to become a senior copywriter for our group.

For us to consider you for this role, write a letter about yourself and why we should hire you and send it to humanresources@awaionline.com with the subject line: Attention Copy Chief. (Remember, this is your chance to show us your persuasive writing skills in action.)

And while you don’t need samples, if you do have some, please include a couple with notes on how well they performed and how you got the idea for them. If we think you’re a candidate, we’ll be in touch with you. So please no phone calls or follow up emails until you hear from us first.

Good luck!

  2. Rebecca I really appreciated talking with you at BootCamp and it truly was the best investment I made thus far. When is the cut off date for this job offer?

  5. Hi Everyone!

I am a beginner in copywriting. Currently enrolled in the Accelerated Copywriting program offered by AWAI. Just completed first two chapters and still a long way to go. I am really overwhelmed with the immense resources at AWAI. Yes, I have a curious mind and at this point of time I am more inclined towards part time copywriting assignments to get started out with. I understand the above openings of AWAI in Delray Beach, FL are of full time positions.

    Thanks Mohsin.

  6. Life forced an unexpected u-turn, becoming disabled in 2004. Change uprooted a new way to live.
In the last 11 years, studying and challenging myself to release all I have been holding onto, not a simple task. A statement to friends I have not met. Today I sensed a native birth. Releasing contractions into relaxation, is mastered. Thoughts to let go and propel onto unrecognizable paths, is my desire.
Pleasing others deafened inner direction. Now space is available to hear, wherever I am.

  7. I'm definitely applying. My question is the same as Vicky Jeter's: What is the deadline for applying for this position?

  8. Yes! You found your girl. I will apply tomorrow!

  9. This sounds like an ideal opportunity for someone. I am not that person, being 73 and nearly settled into South Dakota. I only wish I had followed through the first time I signed up with AWAI, about 12 years ago. Time surely does fidget. So, all you (other) newbie kids, Carpe' that ole Diem, cause soon you'll be my age !
