Copywriter Success Story: How Bootcamp Changed Everything for this Writer

Chris Allsop specializes in copywriting for financial and business opportunity information marketers. Some of her recent clients include Motley Fool Canada, Eagle Financial Publications, and Weiss Educational Services, among others.

Chris recently took a job working as an in-house copywriter with Weiss. She splits her time between her home in Canada and the Weiss offices in Florida—a lifestyle she truly enjoys. Plus, she gets to work with Clayton Makepeace as her copy chief, a situation she describes as about the best thing in the world that could happen to any copywriter.

For Chris, her adventure into copywriting began with Bootcamp in 2006. During an interview with Wealthy Web Writer Managing Editor, Heather Robson, Chris reveals what made her attend that first Bootcamp, what she thought was going to happen while she was there, and why what really happened was even better.

Between now and May 24th, you can listen to Chris’s interview with Wealthy Web Writer, even if you’re not a member of the site. Just click here.

During the half-hour talk, Chris shares what she thinks first time Bootcamp attendees should do between now and October to make the most of the event … she tells the story of how a Bootcamp spec assignment changed her life (and made her a better writer) … and she reveals why she, like so many other writers, attends Bootcamp every single year.

It’s a great call with a lot of practical advice and tips on becoming a successful copywriter. Take a half hour and give it a listen. The full interview is available here.

This year's Bootcamp takes place October 19 – 22 in Delray Beach, Florida.
