Congratulations to Wealthy Web Writer Challenge Winner, Liz Farr

Recently Wealthy Web Writer ran a challenge to its Platinum members. The call was to write a brief account of landing a first client.

Challenge winners were featured in a live interview on Wealthy Web Writer and were invited to expand their winning submission into a paid writing assignment on Wealthy Web Writer.

Three winners were chosen. One, Liz Farr, has been featured in these pages before. You can read her original news feature here.

In her submission to Wealthy Web Writer, Liz shared how she leveraged her skills and knowledge as an accountant along with what she’d learned from Ed Gandia about warm email prospecting to connect with her first client.

That first client turned into a steady gig and a profitable long-term relationship. In fact, referrals from that first client have led to additional work and new clients for Liz!

In her interview, Liz tells writers to “jump in even if you think you’re not ready because you can always learn as you go.”

She also says “to focus on relationships … it’s the power of relationships that can really drive your business forward.”

Check out the full interview with Liz — she shares a lot of great advice on getting your business started. And give her article a read. What she’s done to start landing clients is something any copywriter can emulate.

And check out the full story behind Liz’s first client right here.

Good work, Liz!
