PWA Announces 5 Winners Of Fall 2020 3-Sentence Cash Writing Challenge

Delray Beach, FL – Five writers from around the globe have been selected as winners of the Fall 2020 3-Sentence Cash Writing Challenge from The Professional Writers Alliance (PWA). Each winner will receive $100 and have their entry published.

“A 3-sentence writing challenge? It seems simple until you realize that the required entry was a freshly created personal bio,” notes PWA Director Jen Adams. “Plus, while everyone was provided with the same strategy document for formatting their new bio, I was amazed at the variety and creativity members showed me as they talked about themselves.”

The challenge aimed to provide PWA members with a skill-building experience incentivized by a cash prize. Less about the writing than the process, everyone who participated in the challenge had the chance to master an unusual – and unusually fast – tactic for developing fresh, professional bios targeted at different types of clients and readers.

Of course, the speed of the creation process didn’t fully eliminate the pain of self-marketing, but many participants shared that they could see the value in learning to do this work rapidly when necessary. As winner Olivia Pipis said, “This was agonizing--but SO important to get comfortable with. Thank you for this pain!”

The five winners of PWA’s 3-Sentence Cash Challenge are:

  • Ginika Ifeabunike
  • Cynthia Besse
  • Olivia Pipis
  • Celia Conrad
  • Roberta Anderson
