$200 Prize Winners Announced for The Writer’s Life SpringDawn Air Purifier Ad Writing Contest
Nick Usborne is here today to announce the names of the three winners for the October The Writer’s Life SpringDawn Air Purifier Writing Contest …
Plus, he offers some valuable tactics you can use starting today to improve any copy you write and make it more engaging and persuasive. He explains what to focus your copy on to make it more effective (hint: it’s not the machine!).
Nick also applauded everyone who turned in a submission. Even with a tight deadline (like you’ll probably encounter in real life!), there were still hundreds of entries to the recent online ad writing contest from The Writer’s Life. As always, Nick and his team read every single one to choose the three $200 prize winners.
We’d also like to add our kudos to everyone who submitted an entry. Great job on taking the time to do the work — and be sure to add your sample to your portfolio!
The challenge was to write an online ad of just 83 words to promote the fictional SpringDawn Air Purifier. Readers were given a copywriting brief like you’d receive from a real client. You can check out the Practice Assignment and key tips for how to write an effective online ad here.
Now, check out Nick’s short video announcing the three winning entries and outlining how you can duplicate the tactics in these winning submissions in copy you write.
Congratulations again to our three winners and to everyone who took the time to submit an entry (gold stars all around)!
Be sure to read our daily e-letter, The Writer’s Life, for more contest opportunities and information on how to make a great living as a writer.
Note: If you’d like feedback on your entry, consider requesting it from fellow copywriters in the private Online Copywriters group here. (While there’s no guarantee a peer will review it, we do encourage it! Everyone’s writing gets stronger with constructive feedback.)
