Location: Swansboro, NC
Professions: Copywriter, Researcher
Specialties: Fundraising, Health, Self-Help

Professional Background:

I took The Writing for Children's Literature programs in 1990 and published an article, "Peacemakers at Work" in the December, 1992 issue of POCKETS magazine for children. This was a true story about two little girls who were too young for the Boston WALK FOR HUNGER and decided to have their own walk around their neighborhood to raise money for those in need.

The second article, "Dolls and Dreams," was published in the December/January, 1995 issue of HOPSCOTCH FOR GIRLS and depicted the story of Madame Alexander's dreams as a child of creating an "unbreakable" doll. She made a rag dog as a child and as an adult, began making dolls from composition (a type of rubberized plastic). Her dolls are popular with doll collectors around the world.

Prior to those articles, I worked as a sales assistant and developed over two dozen thank you letters to send to clients when they made purchases.

I have a children's book in the works and presently am an AWAI copywriting student.
