Professional Background:

For the past five years, I have worked for a nonprofit called Path United as a site Director for a couple of sites in Atlanta, Georgia. At Path United we establish community centers in mobile home parks. Within the community centers, we help youth in their academic and spiritual journey. Our vision is to help the youth move from surviving to becoming thriving adults.

Also, I am a public speaker, and I share my story of overcoming adversity as an immigrant from Mexico. In 2015, I coauthored a book about my life story. The book is called “Left In America-The story of Juan Terrazas.” My life story in the book, have giving me opportunities to share in schools in the churches.

Whether I am working with youth at Path United are using my communication as a public speaker, I am a storyteller at heart. I love to engage people with words to inspire and motivate them. At a young age, I learned that words had the power to be destructive or constructive. I choose to do the latter.
