Tomeka has been writing and public speaking for over twenty years. She states “she has enjoyed these gifts that she have been blessed with”. She has received Poet of the Year, an Editor’s Choice Award, and a semi-finalist in the International Open Poetry Contest. Tomeka has written an extensive embodiment of works and collections, including freelance work, public relations, music publishing, and songwriting. Her writing skills includes a plethora of prerequisites in communications and technical courses, in the journey of obtaining her Visual Communications, Technical Management, and Educational Technology degrees. In addition to being a lifelong learner, she has established herself as a writer and author which has been a great journey in perfecting her craft.

Tomeka always expresses her love to write, and astonished at the way her words come easily and with meaning. She stated she knows “her words touch and inspire people and motivates them to do good acts and love themselves and others. Tomeka has always lived being in tuned spiritually through the mind, body and vibrational alignment. She writes for self motivation and for inspiration as a guide self-healing. Knowing that the steps that God orders, leads her words through are her greatest joy. Her highest appreciation and greatest rewards are when her words help others in their time of grieving, loneliness, and sadness.

Tomeka is a part of many great associations and organizations including International Society of Poets, International Women’s Leadership Association, B2B Writing Success Platinum and Professional Writers’ Alliance member, ASCAP Writers and ASCAP Publishers. She has over 15 years of experience in the educational field, working with a diverse and unique set of educational leaders. As part of our in district Technology and Leadership Committees, She was able to develop, collaborate, and follow through with many programs helping an impoverished school district and community. As a team worker and collaborate, she earned a Suffolk County Outstanding Support Service Award and Community Based Organization leadership and implementation recognition.

Tomeka continues to give back time to teach and assist those in need of career development and job searching, which has always been a humbling experience for her. She also provides to charity care causes and donates to individuals in need anonymously. Giving back will always be a part of who she is, her mission and top goal. This book is an attestant to her continued service to those, not only only through tangible means but also through a great word of inspiration.
