Monday Morning Jumpstart –
Do This Before You Set Goals – 4 Steps

Watch Video

During last week’s Monday Motivation for writers session, success coach Ted Capshaw and AWAI President, Rebecca Matter, led us through an exercise for looking back at the past year.

Now, we’re almost ready to set goals for this year … but not quite!

Today, Ted shares exactly what to do before you set goals, with four steps to consider to make sure your dream matches up with your vision and, as Ted says, you “leave this earth fulfilled and remembered the way we want to be remembered.”

Join us every Monday Morning for a boost of writing motivation, plus tips and strategies to make sure you're staying on track and moving toward your goals all year.

  1. This is good advice. I've now written out my vision, made it specific and saved it. It's nice and clear in my mind now!

  2. Ted Capshaw is one deep thinker on business AND life. His guidance is great!

  3. Timeless! A simple How To Guide for your life, your career, and even as a copy writer, a microcosm that you can use for each project. Brilliant! This is a life lesson. Thank you!

  4. I wrote down some notes based on what he said because I never thought of VISION first even though I have had a vision board at one time; didn't even think of it. Now I will seriously write the VISION based on Time, $$$, Relationships and Legacy because it really makes sense and it's biblical-Hab.2:2 & 3.
