Professional Background:

I am a recent graduate of the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Degree in English and a Minor in Sociology. Some of the relevant coursework I completed while a student at UNA includes Technical Editing, Multimodal Writing, Creative Writing, and Grant Writing. A fourteen-year career in the nonprofit sector and my passion for volunteer work coupled with a love for the written word have fueled a particular interest in Grant Writing.
As the Business Manager for The Flor-Ala, the student newspaper, I created an email campaign to secure print and online ads from the campus community as well as the city of Florence and surrounding communities. Student Media was also responsible for producing content for the publication of a magazine distributed at summer orientation to familiarize new students with on-campus activities and restaurants, churches, and services that the Florence area has to offer.
